David + Elizabeth’s Magical Day
Elizabeth & David had a small wedding ceremony with just a few family members and friends last week. It was a joy to be able to capture their unique day. Elizabeth shared that the first time they went out for a date David shared his love of comics and even though at the time she knew very little about comics hearing David’s passion for the origin stories and significance of every facet of the narratives she knew he was someone special (we incorporated their love for comics and epic stories into their day too). At the end of that first date when they got in the car to drive home David suggested they pray about the future of their dating relationship and invite God into every aspect. She remembers feeling giddy and thinking “wow, I might have just met the man I am going to marry.” Turns out she was right.
Their small celebration was to celebrate their love, their family uniting, and acknowledging all God has done in their family. Just a few friends were there in person but many others were watching virtually and then even did a virtual receiving line after the ceremony. It was a gorgeous and warm October morning and we had so much fun exploring Cantigny Park and capturing their story.

Elizabeth shared, “From the moment our session began, I could tell that we were in great hands which was reinforced time and time again as you directed us with your artistic vision but never let that direction take center stage from the deeply special and emotional day it was. All of our friends and family have been raving about how gorgeous our pictures are and we have a difficult task ahead of us selecting the photos that will be framed and placed in our home! I was also deeply blessed that you really went above and beyond when you selected “What a beautiful Name” by Hillsong for me to walk down the “aisle” to. It was so special that you thought of that and meant so much to both of us. I truly believe that you were a God-send and am so thankful it is all worked out for you to do our wedding.“
