I first met Zina through my work with World Relief Dupage Aurora when she shared her powerful story at a Spotlight Event. Her family relocated to the U.S. 10 years ago from Iraq and wanted to capture and celebrate their family with their first portrait session as a family of 5. We had their Family Lifestyle Session on their beautiful daughter Razan’s 1st Birthday.
At the end of their session we included Zina’s parents for a few images and her father shared with me that in Baghdad, Iraq he was an instructor of photography and cinematography. I loved listening to his experience (I am not worthy as he learned photography back in the real dark room days). His wife also taught Fine Arts at the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad and specialized in sculptor. Their family is beautiful and it was special to capture them as they celebrated Razan turning 1. They insisted as I left I took favors for all 4 of my children. I say it all the time BECAUSE IT IT TRUE: my clients are THE BEST. I am so blessed to be invited to capture you all!
Thank you Zina & Sam for inviting me to capture your right now.
Happy Birthday Razan!
