Telling stories of the good work Styles 4 Kidz has been doing in their community is some of my favorite work. They have expanded their work even with the restrictions of the last 2 years to offer more online classes furthering their reach; a mom from South Africa tuned in to their educational courses. This organization is Black female led and Tamekia Swint and her amazing team is impacting so many families- both locally an internationally. S4K serves multiracial families, transracial adoptive and foster families who lack resources, training, and support for their kid’s textured hair. They provide textured hair education, services, and resources that serve kids and families in the biracial, transracial adoptive, and foster care communities.
The morning of their Gala this year I spent the day with the women of S4K as well as many of the families that frequent the salon and are so grateful for the services offered to help them share these important stories of impact. Thank you again S4K- join me in supporting their work.
I’m a visual storyteller photographing emotion, connection, and the beauty in the messy.
I work with families, couples, and bold individuals to tell their stories with heart—
and partner with nonprofits and purpose-driven brands to share their impact with intention, dignity, and excellence.
