Amy reached out to photograph her family just a week before they end an era in Chicago and head to Austin, Texas. Their oldest daughter is heading off to college soon and I was invited to photograph her Senior Creative Portraits back in October and now being invited to document their beautiful family in the city that has been home for them for 22 years was so special.
Amy shared a beautiful reflection,
“Chicago, you have been the place where God has molded me and shaped me, freed me, and delivered me from the things that held me captive & released me to be simply ME and who I was always meant to be. I came to this city young and fresh out of college and leaving this city with a husband of 20 years, 4 living children & 2 angels, and 22 years worth of testimonies of God’s faithfulness, deep care, supernatural provision and kindness! We will deeply miss many things about this city, especially the people! We are so grateful for the many lives that have touched ours in big and small ways. Austin, we are ready for you and so excited for this next chapter that Abba is writing! “For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”Jeremiah 29:11 Roxanne, thank you for capturing our family during our last days here in Chicago. We will cherish these and the many other images you so beautifully photographed!”
I absolutely adored hanging out and documenting this family in Chinatown and they even invited me to dinner with them after- so much fun! Blessings on this new chapter Miller family!
