We are taking every opportunity to get out and explore our new home in Raleigh, North Carolina. This weekend we spent time at the African American Cultural Fest taking in the amazing atmosphere and celebrating Black owned businesses, artisans, and creators. We met a few of them and you need to know about them….
We met the vibrant LaTanya of TresLife who helps women and girls love and embrace their natural beauty with a simple healthy routine.
We also met Katrina from Katz Krochetz and her sister because my daughter Evangeline is also a crochet artist at Hooked by Evy. Katrina creates beautiful dolls and other hand made crochets items that “reflect YOU. ” She combines your memories and her magic and was so kind to give my daughter business tips.
The Gospel musicians that took the stage were fabulous as well and absolutely took everyone to church.
It was a great festival experience and we were grateful to feel so welcomed.
I’m a visual storyteller photographing emotion, connection, and the beauty in the messy.
I work with families, couples, and bold individuals to tell their stories with heart—
and partner with nonprofits and purpose-driven brands to share their impact with intention, dignity, and excellence.
