Being City Kids

I was so excited to partner with the Morelock family again to photograph their family before their oldest Ben heads off to college! The last time we met in Chinatown for their session (the kids have grown so much!) and this time it was 31st Street Beach. Kindra shared, “my kids find part of their identity in being city kids and we like to explore the city. We have been blessed so abundantly with three great, heathy children and want to memorialize these last few months before we enter this new phase of life having a child head to college.” I love choosing locations around Chicago for their sessions because of their love for Chicago! To mark Ben graduating we did a few more images of him to celebrate his senior yea. Seeing families grow through the years is such a gift.

I have requested sites all around the city of Chicago and each and every time she has found great places to photograph us. 

Roxanne is gifted at making everyone feel at ease during the entire process, including my son with special needs. It is really hard to get him to smile and yet she manages to do it! She knows how to relate to people and cares about the people she works with and you can see that in the end product. When I heard she was moving out of the Chicago area, I knew that I had to get one last session with her before she left. The images she has created are beloved heirlooms for our family at these specific points of time. Our family and I will treasure them forever.“
