Closing a Chapter in Chicago

Amber invited me to photograph their beautiful family as they close a chapter in the Chicago area and I was so excited to explore their neighborhood with them and document this season. Amber shared that she wants to remember most right now is “the sweet spirit of the boys, the closing chapter of Chicago, and to remember God’s unmistakable presence through all things.” She described their family as “loving, goofy, and unpredictable” and we had so much fun chasing the boys. Allowing time for families just to be and play means we document those moments that are truly YOU, like the boys picking dandelions for their mama.

Amber texted me after gallery delivery day, “Thank you so so so much-you are amazing. We have treasures documenting our last weeks in chi because of your remarkable talent. I am in awe of how you snapped those boys ninja fast!!! You caught so many of their mannerisms we adore. I’m so grateful for your knack of somehow catching the essence of a person’s character in a photo. It’s breathtaking to see and Joel and l are beyond thrilled. THANK YOU for such a meaningful package of love (made extra special bc you took the photos, my friend!) we can take to our new home.“
