Styles 4 Kidz is an organization you want to know about & support. They are creating so much more than fabulous hairstyles. S4K is hair care with heart.

S4K’s mission is to provide high-quality, compassionate hair care education and services for kids with textured hair in foster care and transracial adoptive or biracial families. I have had the privilege of partnering with this organization and meeting some of the amazing people that are passionate about creating community and cultural pride and doing it all with compassion. We recently partnered to capture new images to share their story (check out their website!) I also recently interviewed one of the stylists Shavonne.

S4K’s founder Tamekia Swint leads with conviction, amazing energy, and creativity, “I’m passionate about hair education and healthy hair for kids so they get what they need to build a healthy self-esteem and confidence all over the world.”

 I have seen the confidence that the organization can empower in young people and families through educational programs and salon services and am so excited to see what the future holds for Styles 4 Kidz.
