Erin & Tryce welcomed their sweet baby girl Nanyori Gene and they are properly smitten. Even after 4 kids I forget how tiny newborns are when they arrive. Capturing Erin & Tryce when they were eagerly awaiting their baby girl (and I knew she was a girl but had to SHHHHHH!) and then seeing them in their beautiful home in Chicago with their sweet girl is a gift and privilege. Erin shared they choose to name her Nanyori because it is a Kenyan name and the name of the first little girl that Erin “had the honor to of helping to rescue from early marriage with my Kenyan family from Jeremiah’s Family Ministry.” Erin expanded on her daughter’s name Nanyori “(her name) reminds me of courage, strength, dignity, beauty, and grace clothed in so much redemption.” Nanyori is just amazing.
Erin wanted to capture some images of her new AND BEAUTIFUL “Mama Bod.” I was so inspired by her boldness and embrace of her post partum body. Our society often tells us to hide or fix these marks of motherhood and Erin is embracing them. She shared “I’m so incredibly proud of this body of mine and the home it was for our little girl, and Lord willing it will be for our next children too. I’ll never look like I did before and that’s ok. I’m a mother and these are my souvenirs of growth.”
