After Turkey we headed to the islands of Greece after a mad dash through the airport to make a flight (we were sweaty mess and 2 of the last 4 people on the flight- crazy!) It was all good as soon as we arrived in Santorini because we had a few days to explore the island and just relax. Renting an ATV and driving from one side of the Caldera to the other was our favorite thing- it is just beautiful to see the breathtaking views. Santorini is a half moon shape that resulted from a volcanic eruption then collapse and the views of just outrageous. We enjoyed sunset dinners, ATV rides the entire length of the island, and ate all the things- so fresh! Freddo coffees are also a must enjoy while there.
We then took a ferry over to Mykonos and enjoyed more amazing views and the beach and I did dance on a table because when in Mykonos 🙂 You will have to head over to my highlight on Instagram of the Greek Islands to see that ridculousness. The actual beaches there were rocky (bring good shoes!) but the views were amazing.
Our last stop on our trip was the capital city of Athens to see the city and the ancient Acropolis and museum. We also spent time just exploring eth area we stayed and chatting with locals- that was one of our favorite things as people were open to sharing about their perspectives on their country and the world. Again, the food was just outrageous good! More in my highlight of Athens.
