Sylvia had so many ideas for her Senior Creative Portrait Session and we made it happen. I was actually laughing so hard walking through the forest with a mirror and her mom Catherine carrying a big chair but IT WAS WORTH IT. Sylvia shared, “I want my images to show the creative and artistic side of my personality and include some cool dramatic shots showing emotion.” Every magical idea she wanted we made happen and were chasing light at the end! I am totally incapable of being impartial since I adore this young woman I have known for at least 8 years because she is a dear friend to our oldest so I was so excited when her family invited me to photograph her to mark her Senior year of high school. THIS session ruined me for every other Creative Portraits Session because it was EPIC (seriously, can we discuss how lame my senior pictures were?!). I want a do -over but I will definitely settle for partnering with beautiful young people like Sylvia.
Sylvia, Catherine, and I kept smiling at the magic of it all. Sylvia is such a kind soul with an artistic eye and gifts so I am so glad she envisioned her session and trusted me to make it a reality!
Catherine shared, “Roxanne, you are just THE BEST. When Sylvie shared her ideas I was like, “that’s crazy we aren’t doing that” but EVERY idea she had that was over the top (in my opinion) you met with excitement and joy. You trudged through burrs and mud and stagnant water and made her dreams of this session come true. You are SO GOOD at what you do, friend. Thank you, thank you for making this experience a highlight of her whole life. I love you so much!!”

Beautiful young lady! Amazing as always photography! And I am with you…I’m thinking back to my own super lame senior photos.
