Photography is visual storytelling and I will never take for granted being invited in to my amazing clients stories. The Prince family is just a gift. Erin shares her journey on Instagram and her vulnerability and choosing beauty is the season of young motherhood will inspire you! I have been able to photograph their beautiful family for the past few years through so many changes and it is a gift.
The moment their third daughter Yoshiko came into the world was beautiful. There were tears and not just from the baby! It was a surreal and beautiful moment. Here are some images of the Prince birth day at their home in Chicago.
I photographed their second child’s birth at home as well. It is a sacred and holy time to be with a family. This birth at home I also created some video for the Prince Family and Erin created this video:
Erin shared, “birth pain is a picture of how a Christian awaits final glory.. a picture of what it looks like to wait in pain for a redemption that you can’t see yet. the reminder that faith will give way to sight – Jesus will finish what he started.
I believe birth resembles a lot of what heaven on earth could possibly feel like. a sheer moment in time where it feels like there is light amongst darkness. yet the pain feels so deep, you’re crying out to Jesus. (you see me thanking him from the depths of my soul after she arrived) I imagine in those moments of deep angst how he felt on the cross dying for you and me, undeserving sinners being set free because of his relentless love for us.
The honor of bringing forth our child in this way is so profound. so beautiful. so raw. so vulnerable. so hard. yet so worth it every single time. and I think Jesus would say the same. because our love for our children is so deeply rooted into us that we will do anything to live for them.
To have the honor of bringing our third beautiful daughter into this world within the comfort of our own home, I do not take for granted. the Lord was present and my strength in my weakness. our glorious miracle. glory to God!!!! heaven touched earth this day.”
Happy birthday Yoshiko.
