Erica Rooney is on a mission to get more women into positions of power and influence and help they thrive there. After 15+ years in corporate HR, rising to Chief People Officer, she watched brilliant, ambitious women get overlooked, underpaid, and burned out not because they weren’t talented enough, but because no one taught them how power, visibility, and opportunity actually work. That experience became the catalyst for everything she builds. Today, Erica operates two distinct but connected brands: her personal brand as a keynote speaker, executive coach, and author at her personal website, and HER Collective: a membership community for ambitious women in corporate America. She is also the author of two books, Glass Ceilings and Sticky Floors and her just-launched The AI Gap: Women, AI, and the Next Great Leap Forward, host of two podcasts, and the North Carolina State Lead for Women Applying AI. Erica sits at a rare intersection — corporate credibility, women’s advancement, and the future of AI and that lane is entirely her own.
Erica’s brand is a mix of a keynote stage and a trusted friend’s living room. She brings C-suite authority and real corporate experience, but delivers it in a way that feels human, warm, and relatable and the energy of two smart women having coffee, where one of them just happens to be a former Chief People Officer, published author, and thought leader changing how women navigate their careers.
Her brand is bold, emotionally intelligent, and unapologetically ambitious. It is not corporate fluff, and it is not a motivation club. It is strategy, community, coaching, and real results — the room Erica wished she’d had earlier, now built for the women who need it most. Her people are ambitious women in corporate America, typically ages 25–45, in industries like tech, HR, finance, and healthcare. These women are doing everything “right” and still feeling stuck, overlooked, and increasingly anxious about being left behind in the AI era.
When women encounter Erica’s brand, she wants them to feel seen, activated, and ready to move. When corporate buyers encounter it, she wants them to see authority, credibility, and investment-worthy expertise. The feeling she is building toward is simple and powerful: She’s the real deal. She gets it. And she can help me. Her work solves a specific, painful problem the gap between performance and advancement — by giving women the strategy, language, visibility tools, and AI fluency they were never taught. Behind the scenes, Erica is a builder and a creator at heart: writing, podcasting, developing AI workflows, batching content, and constantly working on the machine, not just in it. There is always coffee involved.
This brand photography session marks a pivotal moment for Erica. After years of building — the speaking career, the community, the books, the AI thought leadership — her visual brand is getting the upgrade it has earned. The goal is a full content library that matches the scale and authority of the mission: images that show range across authority on stage, warmth in community, behind-the-scenes hustle, and personal human moments. A brand that books keynote stages, converts corporate clients, grows HER Collective, and positions Erica exactly where she belongs — as the leading voice on closing the AI gap for women in corporate America. The images from this session will work hard across every surface of her business for the next 12–18 months, and will finally show the world the version of Erica that matches the movement she has been building.
Erica shared “I am not just empowering women- I’m preparing them for what’s coming”
When Erica shared about her Brand Storytelling experience: What most stood out? “For me it was how much thought you put into every pose and what I wanted.”
Erica shared, “She has a knack for knowing what you need, and pushing you slightly outside of your comfort zone to get the pics you want and deserve – not the pictures that everyone else has.” This is what brand storytelling is all about!!! Thank you Erica!
