“They love me.”

Matt & Christina absolutely light up when their daughter Hannah smiles. Being a parent and watching your children discover and wonder at the world is one of the most amazing parts of this gig. This session was so much fun just watching them react to Hannah. Matt shared that they hoped that when Hannah looks at these images when she is older she would know “they love me.” Hannah will definitely know how adored she is.

They knew Hannah would do better in the morning so we did a just after sunrise session and they know their daughter; she warmed up quickly and was such a joy. This is why I always offer input on timing and location but I listen to my clients! You know your family and partnering means we work together. This is why our questionnaire and phone consult helps us so much. Capturing real moments of your individually is more important than a perfectly curated shot. EVERY TIME.

I could have chatted with this family all day because the world really is small- so many connections from adoption to school and mutual friends!! This work is truly a gift- thank you friends for inviting me in to your story.
