Delhi is one of the most populated cities in the world with close to 22 million people living within the huge city and it can feel like a blur as the busy market streets almost seem to carry you along a current of folks headed to work, school, prayers, shopping, and home. It feels like a big city too with packed markets and busy merchants and people walking, biking, and driving the streets. I think it would be impossible to walk the busy market without bumping into people. At least that proved elusive for me. But that also could be because I was a wide eye tourist. Delhi was the first stop on our trip and although we did not spend much time there I enjoyed visiting the busy markets of Old Delhi, seeing the people bathing in the Yamuna River, and taking in the Jama Msajid Mosque.
The mosque was built by a Mughal emperor and is said to be able to hold 25,000 people.
